On the 23rd of September 2023, with the support of Bankstown Art Centre the collective I’m a part of launched its very first exhibition as titled 'In Essence.' Curated by founders Vina Purwantoro and Wasielah Noorsjamsi, ‘In Essence’ was an introspective pilgrimage into identity, culture and faith, awakened by lived experiences.
I had the honour of working closely with Wasielah Noorsjamsi and Hafiroh Santoro in producing the largest art piece showcased in the exhibit - a large scale 'doodle-bomb' installed over the windows along the side of the art centre.

Our editorial shoot aims to present a refreshing perspective on Muslim women, showcasing their authenticity, pride, and devotion to faith. By capturing the essence of our sisterhood, we celebrate the spirit of our faith through prayer and play. It tells the lived narratives of these women and to celebrate the richness of their faith, culture and identity. The illustrations featured, encapsulates the magic that bursts and blooms between us as a collection - an ode to the flourishing companionship we have built amongst each other.
